Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (30) will extend his contract with his team.

The 76ers announced on the 20th that they had agreed to extend their multi-year contract with Embiid.

Embiid also wrote on his Instagram, along with a photo of him signing the contract, "Philadelphia is my home. I want to spend the rest of my career here. I love this community and I love everything it's given to me and my family. There's a lot of work left to do here. You deserve to experience winning and I think we're just getting started."

It did not disclose the amount. Citing sources, The Athletic said on the same day that Embiid has agreed to extend his three-year contract with the 76ers worth a total of $192.9 million.

The contract covers the 2028-29 season, with the final season being a player option. Including the remaining contracts, a contract worth $300 million was guaranteed for a total of five years.

Existing contracts of $51.5 million for the 2024-25 season and $55.2 million for the 2025-26 season will be applied and will increase by 10% annually for two years, starting with receiving $59.54 million for the 2026-27 season.

The Athletic introduced the contract as the third-largest after Jason Tatum (Boston, five-year, $314 million) and Jaylen Brown (Boston, five-year, $304 million).

If Embiid executes the player option, he will play for Philadelphia until the age of 35.

Philadelphia seems to have laid the foundation by signing Paul George earlier and agreeing to a multi-year contract with Embiid.  실시간 바카라사이트
